The Intersectional Centre for Inclusion and Social Justice (INCISE), although already active since 1 May, celebrated its official launch on the 14th of October with a lecture by Professor Naomi Goldenberg (Ottawa) with the title Queer Theory Meets Critical Religion. Many people from CCCU, University of Kent, London, and the wider Southeast of England came to listen to the talk, the VC’s (Professor Rama Thirunamachandran) Â opening address and the Dean of Arts and Humanities’ (Dr Keith McLay) closing remarks. Professor Bee Scherer (Director of INCISE) introduced the keynote speaker.
